Lemonade

Things did not turn out the way I want them to. I just felt so low awhile ago but this song lightened my mood. It came to me in the most unique package as I found myself watching a tribute to a former batchmate who died a year ago. The video made me smile as I got to see her smiling face again. With a collage of pictures was this song that I just can't help listening to. Hope you'll enjoy it just like I did.

lemonade - chris rice and I saw this video from the same singer haha. Cute!

Some people

just CAN'Tfollow directions. Sadly, it sometimes includes me but anyway, I just got pissed of A LITTLE today. I was fixing our dinner for later. My d-group's coming over and praise God for that! I was busy in the kitchen and I truly appreciate our help for being available to help me with the preparations. The thing with me is that I love doing everything - from the food preparations to the actual cooking and the washing of the dishes haha. Abnormal. I love to rely solely on myself. Ayon, may kapalpakan nga, like I envisioned. Simple instruction lang, she was not able to follow. Well actually, I don't want to blame her naman, I know she was just trying to help. I guess nagkaroon lang talaga kami ng miscommunication. So there, I got really pissed pero I am not the kind of person who bursts into anger. Instead, I took a deep breath and cried a little haha. I couldn't let it out kasi, I just didn't want to have that bad image. So ayon. I just let it pass and make use of what was already in front of me. Whooo.Effective pala yun! When you're on the verge of bursting, just take a number deep breaths pero kung hindi mo talaga matiis! go for it! haha kidding. Thank God I did not let out my emotions. That will be something!! I have never seen myself really angry. So I just hope nobody tests me in that area, I can really be unpredictable. I haven't seen that side of me yet. Major casualties: Na-overcook yung sides ng brownies! ang hirap tangalin sa pan! rarr. Kulang yung ulam! I need to rush to Tiendesitas to buy Barbecue. Minor casualties:the usual cuts and burns! haha. I am an accident prone area but I am used to it haha. ANG SAKIT!haha yun lang. Parang baliktad! hahaha
Funneh Photo of the Day! Check out Mariah Carey's Eminem haha! Ang pagkakaalam ko kasi, walang goateee si Eminem! haha. She looks more like Fred Durst, don't you think? Fashion icon of the day Rachel Bilson!! If I were given a chance to be in the shoes of any celebrity for a day! it would be her!! Can I be you, Rachel?? Oh and Lauren Conrad!! My happy song for the day.

Gravity - John Mayer John Mayer is Love. I would love to be serenaded with his songs. I'm Out. Time for more serious business. By the way, I am a purple child haha!

Lies vs. Truth

I just finished my homework for our d-group discussion tomorrow and I just could not help but share what I have learned. Jo instructed us to list some of the lies that we have come to believe and counteract it with verses from the bible. Here are some of the lies I have been imprisoned to and the verses I have come to find as bullets for my weapons in battle: 1)Fear of being different; fear of living my faith and being unpopular as a result of this
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” (NIV) “God doesn’t want us to be shy with His gifts, but bold and loving and sensible.” (The Message)
2)Worry and waiting about things that have not yet been revealed
Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.” (NIV) It’s amazing that it does not say “WHEN YOU RECEIVE” instead, is states “YOU HAVE RECEIVED”. We really need to claim it by faith, that God is a ‘Rewarder’ of all things. “That’s why I urge you to pray absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything (The Message). Note that with God there are no such things as shallow issues or too complicated problems. Present anything and absolutely EVERYTHING to Him and He will bear ALL WITH YOU. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. WE ARE NOT ALONE.
3)Being hunted by the past hurts and consequences
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (NIV) “If we admit our sins- make a clean breast of them – he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing.” (The Message)
There are more actually but I am really sleepy. I just wanted to share a few. Maybe I can share more tomorrow. Lastly, I did not intend to find this but I did. I came across one of my high school batchmate's original composition!! Dates back to senior year!! This girl is so talented! I knew she will go this far!! Go Liz!Ang dami kong naalala sa song na toh. It was a year full of successful and unsuccessful achievements! 4th year...a bittersweet year for me. It was the year when I first gave my heart away hahaha. My very first childhood relationship. Anyway, there's no use reminiscing about that now.Not ever.

kahapon - liz lorenzo Gosh. I just realized how busy my day will be tomorrow!! Re-editing my tita's files. Then preparing food for my d-group and then the d-group itself! why am I still up? gah. I can do this.
KK. Pleasant dreams!

A Missing Scene

I was browsing for some videos for my next attempt at another project when I came across this! I didn't know there was one deleted scene in Little Manhattan! I love this movie so much!! Sayang they took away this scene, this could have been a lovely addition to the film. I love the song too! I wonder what the title is and who sang it. Enjoy. Also, I heard this song kanina while I was shopping for a shirt. I completely forgot about this song! I was reminded of this year's American Idol Kris Allen! I was really hoping he'd win and he did! This song is amazing! Search for the studio version!

No Boundaries - Kris Allen And and!! this song... This is the soundtrack of my day. Don't search for the acoustic version, may pagka-emo eh. Look for the tempo one! Well maganda rin pala! in its own way.

In memory of what we used to call in Love. I need to brush up on my reading. Good night everyone. Have a fun evening ahead! Makes me wonder, who reads my entries anyway? haha. Thanks for reading them! whoever you are.

The All Sufficient God

Finally, a sun-shiningday!
I have so much to tell you and I don’t even know where to start. This day was full of significant realizations but my “topsy turvy” brain makes it difficult for me to process a clear complete thought. Perhaps, I’ll start at the beginning like I always do. I had an amazing Sunday even though my head was feeling a little heavy due to my lack of sleep. Again. What’s new. Pastor Peter gave an insightful message! Like he always does. We focused on the book of John; chapter 5 to be exact. It gave me a whole new perspective on waiting – waiting for a suitable career, potential God’s best and a deluge of blessings. Pastor Peter started off by reminding us that Christianity is not a religion but rather a living relationship with Jesus. Our church, Christ Committed Fellowship is helping people to follow Jesus. We are all ought to be Christ Committed Followers. We will soon be celebrating our 25th anniversary on August 30!! At the Araneta Colliseum! I was shocked that we will be having two separate services, one at 10 am the other at 3 pm! It overwhelms me to think that we can no longer fit ourselves in one service! Amazing! We are already that many! And to think it was only 25 years ago when our church started in a small house in Makati ( I think). God you are truly awesome! He went on telling us that Jesus is an All Sufficient God who is faithful to bless us if we are willing to wait.
Matthew 6:33 says, “but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (NIV) “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” (The Message)
Pastor Peter had three important points but I will share the one that struck me the most. The All Sufficient God does not exempt us from testing There are just certain lessons we will never learn until we go through it ourselves. When God tests us, He wants us to learn thus we need to have a positive attitude towards testing. Testing is always there to build us up. It’s hard noh? Even I am struggling about it. Who wants testing? You will have to be a retard to bask in its idea! C’mon! But once we get the whole picture that we are being readied for an even better life after this journey, we will never look at problems the way we usually do.
1 Corinthians 10:18 says, “no temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so you can stand up under it.” (NIV) “No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; He’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; He’ll always be there to help you come through it.” (The Message)
This has always been real for me. There were gazillion of times where in I was tested immensely to the point that I felt like I was failing God in whatever I do but His Saving Grace always reminded me that I don’t have to rely on my own power to battle the deceptions of the Devil. He and all the heavens are there to back me up even if I have to go through it all by myself. Often times, my parents or other people for that matter, do not really know or understand what I am going through but God was always there to tell me that He knows and that He cares.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, “praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”(NIV) “All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, He brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.” (The Message)
I have come to believe this is true as well. I have questioned God thousands of times before, why I had to undergo such sufferings knowing that I do not deserve them in the first place. Then I knew, I can serve as a channel of comfort to those who went through the same struggles as I did. I know that the problems I had before may or may not compare to what other people have experienced but, shallow or not as they may seem…they were difficult enough for me. I am ready to lift up my burdens to God so that I can help other people carry their yokes of slavery. It does not have to be a lifetime suffering! It will always have an end if we want to be freed from it. Lastly, he also talked about surrender. We will never understand His grace until we let go of the substitutes. I have always been weak at this area. I am such a people person even though I can appear rather timid and quiet. I have used other people as my anchor to an already shaky world. In my former long list of potential husband, I had this wrong notion that when this right person comes, he will fill in the void that has been preventing me from being ETERNALLY happy. But pastor Peter told us that all human beings have the potential of disappointing us just as we have the capability to fail other people. It’s just the way we are! That is how we came to be the moment Eve allowed herself to be tempted. I know my future husband cannot complete me just as I cannot complete him. We have God for that. I truly thank Him for His existence that makes all things work for the good! I then changed my long list to a top 7 must haves in a godly Christian husband. Next time, I'll post them here. In a nutshell... High point:Hearing a certain someone say, "...e di madalas na kita makikita jan ngayon?" Dies. Goes to heaven for a second. Comes back to earth. Haaaay. Hanggang ngayon nakangiti pa rin talaga ako! if you only knew how much you made me smile today! then I am dead haha Low point:None really except that my tummy hurts. Dysmmenorrhea. Prayer Request: Job for me and my lovely friends!
